A BOTANICAL LISTING FOR THE YEAR  2008

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our 38th Listing, much enlarged and improved since 1971. Each time we recognise the names of customers who have been with us for many years.

Fashions and changes in collecting come and go. At present, the growing of caudiciform and pachycaul plants is in vogue. Some of these kinds can be found in this List. This year you will also find Madagascan species, also Mammillaria and Turbinicarpus with habitat details. Most seeds are easy to germinate and grow, others are a challenge and require a little more skill and enthusiasm. Habitat data is included where available. There are many Special Offers again this year, and we are also continuing a Lucky Dip for beginners, or people that enjoy a surprise at a very low cost.

CUSTOMER INFORMATION

This List cancels all previous Lists. Seeds are available subject to prior sale. We specialise in seeds of Succulents and Desert Plants. All seeds are packaged and ready for a speedy despatch by First Class or Air Mail Delivery. Species may be ordered by their Catalogue Number. As some kinds sell out rather quickly, please mention a few alternatives when ordering. Our Botanical Listing is issued free of charge and is sent to all buyers of the previous year.

We regret that we cannot send seeds of CITES I classified species to destinations outside the European Economic Community. Customers in Australia and New Zealand should check the import regulations of their country before ordering, as only certain species are allowed to be imported.  Buyers in the United States should obtain a permit and green and yellow address label from their local USDA office. This will cover up to 50 packets of seeds. Send your permit, label, seed order, and cheque in US dollars made payable to DOUG ROWLAND which will be deposited in Arizona. We will then contact you and send the seeds.
